In partnership with SimpleRent, Franzi invites screenwriters from around the world to submit their short film ideas. One script will be fully financed and produced by our team.
Submissions are read by our team of executive producers and directors. We’ll select 10 finalists for a personal feedback call, where we’ll discuss your script’s potential and share creative notes.
One script will then go into full development and production with us, starting with collaborative revisions, through to pre-production, shoot, and post.

To enter Franzi Shorts, please submit via FilmFreeway one of the following:
A short film script
or
A detailed treatment (2–5 pages) outlining the story and characters.
We’re open to any genre or style. We also welcome (but don’t require) the following optional materials:
- Lookbook
- A pitch deck outlining the project’s style, tone, themes, and world-building.
- Writer’s note explaining your vision or personal connection to the story
