The Choreographer Marianna Minasova's rehearsals went beyond practising predetermined dance moves, evolving into a forum for exploration. Dancers were encouraged to contribute their interpretations, adding depth and collective creativity to their movements. On set, the atmosphere was charged with creative energy. Both Brikcs and the director Vasco Alexandre's decision to let go of detailed shotlists and storyboards allowed for a certain level of unpredictability, and that freedom enabled an environment where raw, authentic emotions could be captured on camera. The result? Perhaps a worn-out camera operator, but in return, an organic and universal exploration of themes, particularly the interplay between societal constraints and individual expression. This marked the second year in a row that the award went to Denmark. In addition to the winning duo, Henrik Vahter (Director, Estonia), Adelīna Parma (Director, Latvia), Alūvijs (Artist, Latvia), and Theo Rosen (Artist & Director, Sweden) also attended the award ceremony. The live concert by ephraim, the previous year’s winner, as well as the spectacular Hanse Sail beach fireworks, completed the opening day.
